Every time you extend yourself and show that you are willing to learn new things, any future employer will look favourably at this.
Ensure that you finish your study as it can lead onto bigger and better things.
You will also find that your employer may even help you with further education if you show potential.
I will mention that after awhile in a job, you can use that experience as RPL (Recognition to Prior Learning) to obtain credit for future study.
Your employer will need to sign off on the units that you have understanding of.
You will also need to sit an aptitude test which should be easy if you’re competent with the work you are doing.
Good luck.

PS.
I am from the UK but have had a lot to do with the higher education system in Australia.
