What School Has The Best Undergraduate Accounting Program In The Midwest?

I’m am currently in the process of applying for college. I need help! My major will be in accounting, but I want to go to a school with a good reputation in the area of business/accounting.

  1. I went to the University of Illinois. They are very highly rated and all the big 4 accounting firms recruit there heavily. I landed a job with KPMG, one of the big 4 and I am working there now.
    I grew up in Champaign, where the University of Illinois is located. It’s not the most exciting place but it is a nice college environment, and the cost of living is pretty low. I lived in an apartment off campus and paid like $500/month and rode my bike everyday to class. I had a parking spot and it was a nice, quiet apartment.
    The accounting classes are a little weird because they recently implemented this thing they call “Project Discovery,” but overall, I am glad I went to U of I because I got a good job.
