What Uc Is Best For A Career In Business Or Accounting For A Major Company?

I’m just a senior in High school and I’ve just begun receiving acceptance letters. However, I don’t know which UC to chose. Right now, I’m looking at UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. Also, Cal Poly SLO. Which major should i have? Should I double major in something?

  1. UC Berkeley has the best undergraduate business school in the UC system. In fact, they are ranked third in the country (behind Wharton and MIT).
If you get accepted to Berkeley — go there over the other schools you mention.
Berkeley does not allow you to enter the B-School until your Junior year. I would suggest starting out in economics and applying to the Haas school as a Junior.
You can major in accounting — but my suggestion would be to go for finance if you are mathematically inclined.
UCLA and UCSD do not offer undergraduate business degrees. Both schools have excellent economics departments.

  2. well you can always major in comunications, business accounting, business management…
ucla and ucb are ocviously the two best uc’s overall. if you got into any of these two, i would say go, not very many people get accepted, they are very prestigous. SB is also very good in business and economics so go there if you want a more laid back atmosphere. SD is only good in the science area and okay in the business area. no to SLO, uc’s are always better than csu’s. also check out and visit the schools and see which you feel best in.

  3. UCLA and Berkeley have the best reputation, so those would be sure bets.
