backing up

I cannot seem to get the program to backup onto another disc anymore. I used to use a floppy (drive a) but it wont accept that or a cd (drive e). I cant back up. I have Version 5.0 for Windows. I can only backup to my own system (c drive)

I must be just doing something stupid, but please help!

  1. You may not be able to backup onto the floppy as the size of your backup may exceed the capacity of the floppy. Floppies are a terrible form of backup anyway, as the failure rate is high compared to even something simple like a usb stick.

    When you are backing up to cd, are saving the backup to your computer and then using a program to burn it to a cd. I suspect that you can’t directly burn from qiuckbooks straight to a cd, it possibly needs to be a two step process. Writing data to cd is a bit differet than writing to a floppy or a usb.
