In Quickbooks 2007, I have always had the company preferences set to YES for setting up taxes and YES to recording GST and PST separatey on purchases but I just registered the GST number ‘voluntarily’ and thus just adjusted preferences in Quickbooks to reflect that. Only thing is that according to the GST liability report, I have nothing tracked. But I need the last 4 years gst amounts… it shows the gst and pst in every bill I entered but I cannot get a report. Any suggestions?
(Background here is that my business doesn’t collect gst from clients and is not required to but because it makes more than 30,000$ a year they contacted us to ‘voluntarily’ (but not really) register for GST. They will owe us money in the end but I still have to find all the GST the business paid out for business expenses.
Thanks so much for a little insight.
