Mac Bookkeeping Software Recommendations Needed.?

We started our own business last year and need some suggestions on software for bookkeeping and accounting.
I’ve been looking at MYOB, Quickbooks for Mac, NetSuite, First Edge, Sage’s web-based application but I’m not expereinced enough to know what I need
We are a multimedia production company and website developers who use Macs.
Here are some details:
Mac running OSX
1 employee
No inventory
Need to keep track of spending and taxes
Sales Tax
Invioces
Quotes
Anything to make tax time easier and quoting/biding jobs faster would be ideal.

I Need To Find A Simple Bookkeeping Program That Uses A Columnar Pad Format.?

My husband is self employed, and I do his bookkeeping. I need to find a program that is able to be easily customized. The programs I tried, quickbooks and peachtree, seem too complicated. He doesn’t keep an inventory, or have a lot of equipment. I just need something that will let me enter invoices from purchases, and income from some sales but mostly labor and commissions.

Quick Survey: How Much Do You Pay For Bookkeeping?

What is the going hourly rate for a part-time person to do data entry of transactions into QuickBooks and reconcile the accounts?
This is basic bookkeeping, not full-charge bookkeeping, not writing checks, not paying bills, not accounting, no taxes, and no payroll. Just entering the income and expenses and doing the monthly reconciliation. Location: San Jose, CA
