Can Anyone Suggest A Well Designed Windows Invoice Program For Small Business?

We currently use a very old DOS based program for our invoicing. In some ways it works ok but the reporting features and very lacking. We have not found anything so far on off the shelf software that seems to be well designed for our purposes. We have Quickbooks but I have never been impressed with using this in volume. Our current files are in dbf format. We sell products wholesale/a product based business. Appreciate any ideas or suggestions. We need something that we can go in enter a new customer and go directly punching out invoices. We dont need any estimating or quote features.

Can Somebody Suggest Me A Good Book On Financial Planning & Taxes?

I am an insurance agent and mutual fund distributor. I am a science graduate, and hence know least about concepts of commerce.
I am looking for a book which can help me offer better financial planning to my clients. The books should explain the concepts of various investment instruments like Mutual Funds, Stocks, Real Estate etc. It will be great if the books contains chapters on Taxes (and its various sections). In a nutshell, a book for dummies on Financial planning and Taxes.

Quicken – Can You Suggest An Alternative?

Really like Quicken 98 for the investment tools (not so much the budget aids). This is no longer available in the UK any suggestions on an alternative.
Would like an asset allocator tool, a track investments performance tool etc. Multi portfolio if possible. Any ideas?

Can Anyone Suggest A Good Book To Use As A Starting Point On How To Run A Small Business With Quickbooks?

I’m looking for a good book which has great detail on starting a small business with quickbooks as the bookkeeping/accounting software. All I have been able to find are books on running a business or using quickbooks, but no luck with both in the same book. My hope is that I’ll get valuable information if the book is aimed at both of these concepts and not just one.
