How Do I Convert Several Years Worth Of Qif/csv Mac Quicken Data Into A Pc Quicken Format- Qdf, Qdb Or Qdt?

I’ve been using SplashMoney on my Palm Pilot for almost 5 years now. I can easily export data throught the Palm Pilot Hot Sync conduit in either CSV or QIF format. But my accountant will only accept QDB or QDF data. I can currently import QDF, QDB or QDT files into PC Quicken 2008. My accountant also gave me a copy of PC Quickbooks, but I can’t figure out anyway to get the financial data through (vendors & customers, yes, but not account data).
At a minimum I want to convert the last year of data for both my personal & business accounts. I’ve purchased Pocket Quicken, and my goal is to sync Pocket Quicken with Quicken 2008.
Microsoft Excel or Office Accountant seems like it might be an intermediary step. I have Excel, but not Accountant.

Is This Laptop Worth It?

I got offered a Gateway laptop with Intel Celeron, XP home SP2, CPU=1333 MHz, 1.33 GHz, and 256 MB RAM. I basically just surf the net and play a few free online games here and there, but I also help my sister-in-law with bookkeeping, so I would need to install quickbooks on it. It comes with a wireless card for internet.
The guy wants to sell it to me for $300. I researched used laptops online and found one basically exactly like it for $499, but a brand new bottom-of-the-line laptop at a nearby electronic store chain is selling for $350 this week, so I’m not quite sold on the fact that I’m getting a good deal.
It works just fine, I’m using it now…but I’d feel better getting opinions from you guys as to the specs and perhaps experiences with your gateway comps or laptops. Help a first time buyer out, will ya?

Is A First Edition Emily Dickinson Book Worth Anything?

My grandmother recently passed and she was an avid book collector. In her collection are several Emily Dickinson books that are first editions. Unfortunately, I am not a book person and would like some information on these books. I am going to keep them I just need to know if I should put them up or lay them out. They are in good condition with the binding at the top raveling a bit. Thank you for any information.

Is Going To A Uc Worth The Extra Money For Accounting?

I just posted a question about going to UCSB and somebody answered and said I was choosing a “VERY EXPENSIVE” route. Would I still be able to get a good accounting job in the bay area or LA area from an accounting degree some a CSU or state school?

What Is My Dell Inspiron 600m Laptop Worth?

I am looking to sell my laptop, but I don’t know how much it is worth. I purchased this laptop in April of 2005. Here are the specs:

The OS and Office 2003, and quickbooks were all pre-installed when I received my laptop. All I would need to do is to do the System Restore and it will be like a new laptop with the OS, Office and Quickbooks installed already. This was in 2005 when I bought this laptop and I put on $1000 worth of upgrades (an 80 GB Hard drive in april of 2005 was the biggest HD for a laptop that was available) and the (8x DVD-RW drive was the biggest too)

Would It Be Worth Getting Excel Courses From A Cd?

I want to learn how to work with excel and quickbooks, so I get a higher chance of getting a good job.
I’ve seen some computer programes that teaches you how to work with excel. I’d prefer that (over taking real life pc classes) because it saves a lot of money.
So my question is do you get a usable certificate from those pc programs that teaches you step to step how to work with excel (or such)?

Quickbooks Tutorial Cd’s Worth It?

Lots of jobs I am applying for are asking for experience in this software. This 1st interview I went to today for some job asked me this question. I was wondering if it is worth it to buy one of this CD’s to learn something about the software.
The only experience I have with it is doing a presentation on it for my accounting in formations systems class. It seems REALLY easy to use, especially the AP, and AR duties. I have a BBA in Finance and obviously have experience with computers (word,excel, PP, etc..).
I guess what I am asking is if these learning quickbooks cd’s from places like best buy would help me? Do they go into more advanced features like reconcilling? Or do they just do the basics (which wouldn’t really help me anyways since they are easy to pick up and it would just be a waste of money for me).

Is It Worth It To Double Major In Finance And Accounting?

Hey, I am considering doing a double major in business (finance) and accounting. I can do it in 4 years, I would just have a tight schedule with a tougher work load and not be able to take any elective classes that seem interesting. Is it worth it to risk a better GPA if I were just to mahjor in accounting? How does it benefit me if I want to go into financial services (i-banking, private equity, hedge fund, venture capital…) and/or corp. finance in energy or healthcare?
